Become a mentor
You can make a direct positive impact on the life of an LGBTQ+ young person
As a mentor, you join a young person one-on-one to support them through life’s challenges and joys.
Acceptance from at least one adult can decrease the risk of LGBTQ youth attempting suicide by 40%.
LGBTQ youth in mentoring relationships are less likely to display signs of depression, delinquency, and stress.
Mentored LGBTQ youth improve their relationships with parents and peers and are better equipped to foster their identity and give back to the LGBTQ community.
Building a mentoring relationship with an LGBTQ+ young person is rewarding for so many reasons
Build community with an intergenerational network 〰️
Gain training on how to be a mentor 〰️
Personal fulfillment and enjoyment 〰️
Reciprocal learning and growth 〰️

Increased self-awareness 〰️
Create safety for an LGBTQ young person 〰️
And so much more! 〰️

I'm really glad for the chance to be a mentor in this program because nothing like this existed for me when I was growing up, and I'm really happy to be able to do something I would've really appreciated.

[Linked Mentoring] has given me an amazingly supportive queer community… It is a source of support and joy through all accomplishments and challenges for everyone involved.
